Manatee Detectives Charge Assistant Coach in Student Solicitation Case

Manatee County Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested a Bayshore High School assistant football coach on a charge of soliciting sexual contact with a student. On November 17, 2025, the parent of a 16-year-old student reported that Lagarius Spikes, 42, made sexually explicit comments to the student in his office at Bayshore High School and solicited sex.
