HGTV’s Jasmine Roth Shares Update on Hospitalized Daughter After ‘Traumatic’ Accident
The HGTV host said Darla was rushed to the ER after falling off a couch and hitting a coffee table, leaving a head wound that needed 7 stitches.
On Sunday, Jasmine Roth rushed her 20-month-old daughter, Darla, to the emergency room after the toddler fell from a couch onto a coffee table, sustaining a head injury that required 7 stitches.
Roth was home alone with Darla and her six-year-old sister, Hazel, when the accident happened; her husband, Brett, arrived at the hospital to support them during treatment.
Sharing photos on Instagram, Roth described the wound as a 1/23 indentation above the eyebrow and wrote, "You guys, I've never seen anything like this," while noting her daughter's bravery.
After Darla was settled at home, the pregnant Roth visited an OB Emergency in Salt Lake to confirm her own baby's health; doctors found a strong heartbeat via ultrasound.
Roth vowed to store the coffee table until her children are older and advised parents: "being a parent isn't about all the pressure we put on ourselves," after describing the day as traumatic.
