Here are the candidates who did — and didn't — file for Minnesota’s statewide races
Several statewide Minnesota races will go to an Aug. 11 primary after the filing deadline passed with few surprises, officials said.

Party endorsements did little to narrow the candidate field, as evidenced by filings showing multiple candidates per race seeking party backing without exclusivity guarantees.
Rep. Peggy Bennett, R-Albert Lea, declined to file for governor after gaining little traction at the GOP convention weekend, while Rep. Dan Wolgamott also withdrew from the state auditor race.
Candidates retain until Thursday, June 5, to withdraw their names from ballots, potentially reshaping the final primary field before the Aug. 11 election.
Rep. Elliott Engen filed for his House seat despite earlier uncertainty, signaling that competitive primary contests await across multiple open and contested positions statewide.
