On Tuesday several fires broke out in the Rax-Schneeberg region. Numerous firefighters moved out, the Interior Ministry sent two helicopters.

Due to forest fires in the Rax-Schneeberg area in Lower Austria, two helicopters were in operation on Tuesday. The flames in Hirschwang had taken their exit near the place where a huge forest fire broke out in 2021.

In southern Lower Austria, several helicopters from the Ministry of the Interior extended to forest fires on Tuesday afternoon. In each case, there were affected places in the rough terrain in Gutenstein (Wiener Neustadt district) and in Hirschwang in the municipality of Reichenau an der Rax (Bezirk Neunkirchen district). More than 200 firefighters were requested in total.
