A large forest fire that threatened houses and a church earlier today in the Blidinje Nature Park at the foot of the Čvrsnica mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been put under control.
The fire on Čvrsnica continues to spread, and two Canadians from the Republic of Croatia are at the fire site on Thursday.
In accordance with Article 56 of the Defense Act, the Government has adopted a decision authorizing the crossing of the border of the Republic of Croatia by the Armed Forces.
The use of two Canadair CL-415 aircraft of the Croatian Air Force, together with two crews of members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, has been approved to assist in fighting the fire.
