POLICE are investigating a Pole who flew a helicopter dangerously low over hotels near Rijeka and Opatija, which is why his aircraft has now been grounded.
The Croatian Civil Aviation Agency is also involved in the investigation.
Inspectors are on the ground and, in cooperation with the police, are determining all the circumstances of the incident, i.e. whether there is criminal liability, what was the purpose of the flight and at what altitude the pilot was flying, the chief investigator for air accidents told us.
The helicopter, piloted by a Polish citizen, was grounded at Grobnik Field after the incident.
