French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu gave a press conference on foreign digital interference in French political life on Thursday 11 June in Paris. In view of the six elections held in France since 2021, the head of government has not hidden his concern about the risks to the presidential elections scheduled for next year in the country.
France fears "significant threats" of foreign interference during the presidential election of 2027, said Thursday Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
The Prime Minister received the political forces in Matignon on Thursday 11 June and then, in front of the press, announced that he would soon make proposals to strengthen the legislative arsenal in order to prevent any disruption of the forthcoming elections.
