Starting June 22, "tax independence" will begin, meaning they will have access to their income to meet their own needs. The formal tax burden in Argentina remains a heavy backpack for wage-earner families. A new study by the Argentine Institute of Fiscal Analysis (IARAF) estimated that, in 2025, the tax pressure on workers’ incomes and consumption reached between 47.3% and 49.9% of annual income, depending on the wage level. That is, the State (national, provincial and municipal) remains, through taxes, with approximately half of what workers produce in a year.
