HDI Seguros and insureMO bring AI into insurance product development after

The companies say generative AI could cut product development and configuration time by about 85% while keeping human approval and governance controls in place.

  • HDI Seguros and insureMO have expanded their partnership to integrate generative AI agents into insurance product engineering, claiming development and configuration times could be reduced by around 85 per cent.
  • This expansion follows a large-scale migration project where HDI Group transferred its Sompo-acquired life insurance portfolio onto the insureMO platform in less than nine months, launching 19 life and affinity insurance products.
  • According to the companies, the migration involved moving more than 11 million records including policies and claims, generating cumulative premiums exceeding 67,500,000 with volume expected to reach 1 billion in 2027.
  • Vanesa Bustamante, vice president of technology at HDI Group, said: "Migrating the life insurance portfolio and integrating new operations demonstrate that it is possible to modernize a large insurer." AI agents free specialists to focus on risk and pricing.
  • The insureMO platform includes more than 2,500 standardised APIs and over 50 AI tools supporting product development. Rafael Rodrigues, general manager, Latin America, at insureMO, noted without governed APIs, AI in insurance remains just a demonstration.
