Thousands of Hawaiian Electric Customers Still without Power Monday Afternoon From Kona Storm

Storm damage left 8,000 customers without power on Hawaii Island with crews restoring over 4,000 accounts since Sunday, utility officials said.

The Kona storm has left 12,540 customers of Hawaiian Electric without power Monday morning, but numbers are significantly down from those who lost power over the weekend.
