Alaska Airlines announces new nonstop flights between Seattle and Seoul Incheon beginning Sept. 12 on Hawaiian Airlines
- On March 25, 2025, Alaska Airlines announced new nonstop flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Seoul Incheon International Airport, which will be operated by Hawaiian Airlines and will commence on September 12, 2025.
- The new service is timed to begin just before a series of holidays including National Foundation Day, the Chuseok holiday , and Hangeul Day, which run from October 3 to 12, providing travelers the chance to enjoy a long weekend in Seattle.
- The Incheon-Seattle route will operate five times a week on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with the flight departing Incheon at 8:50 p.m. And arriving in Seattle at 3 p.m. On the same day, while return flights depart Seattle at 3:25 p.m. On Wednesday through Sunday and arrive in Incheon at 6:50 p.m. The following day.
- According to Andrew Harrison, chief commercial officer at Alaska Airlines, the airline can connect guests through its Seattle gateway for nonstop service to Seoul and Tokyo, with additional connections to other Asian destinations through global partners.
- Alaska Airlines plans to expand its global network from Seattle in the coming years, aiming to serve at least 12 nonstop international destinations by 2030, utilizing the Airbus A330-200 aircraft initially and considering adding the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the Seattle-Seoul route in the future.
