In September 2024, four dogs were stolen in the middle of the night at the SPA de Vesoul (Haute-Saône). Three dogs were quickly found, but Bosco remained unobtainable. On 16 March 2026, eighteen months after his disappearance, the 11-year-old dog reappeared in Epinal in the Vosges. He has since returned to the refuge.

This eleven-year-old dog, who had disappeared for 16 months after a flight to the Vesoul SPA, was found on Monday 16 March by another SPA in Epinal in the Vosges, causing a strong emotion among the carers and volunteers. The animal had sought, in vain, for weeks. A complaint had been filed.
