The murder of an international para-weightlifter in Haryana has shocked the entire Rohtak and Bhiwani districts. Rohit, a resident of the village of Himayunpur in Rohtak, was beaten to death by more than a dozen wedding guests with sticks, rods, and iron rods while returning from a wedding ceremony in Bhiwani late at night.

Rohit worked as a bodybuilder and gym trainer at the Gymkhana Club in Sector 4, Rohtak. He had previously won gold medals in the 2018 senior (107+ kg) and junior (107+ kg) categories at national-level competitions.
