Emma Watson barred from driving for 6 months after speeding, U.K. court says
UNITED KINGDOM, JUL 16 – Emma Watson and Zoe Wanamaker each received six-month driving bans after accumulating 12 penalty points, with fines of £1,044 issued by High Wycombe Magistrates' Court.
Emma Watson was banned from driving for six months after speeding at 38mph in a 30mph zone in Oxford on July 31 of last year.
Watson had already accumulated nine points on her driving licence prior to this speeding incident.
Watson was fined a total of £1,044 at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court.
A representative for Watson stated that she fully understood her position and accepted her punishment.
It is the fourth infringement committed by the British actress in less than two years. As he has already had nine counts of fines accumulated, he now has to pay EUR 1,200 and let him drive temporarily.
