- According to the recall, the rear brake line may contact the Body Control Module , resulting in a hole in the brake line, fluid leaks, and potential loss of rear braking capability.
- Affected models include 2025 and 2026 FLHC, FXBB, FXLRS, and FXLRST Softail motorcycles; the issue was discovered in March when a customer reported "inoperable brakes," followed by three additional reports.
- Dealerships will replace the BCM caddy and associated hardware at no charge for all affected owners; notification letters are scheduled to be mailed on May 18.
- Owners can verify whether their motorcycle is affected by entering their VIN on the NHTSA or Harley-Davidson website; no injuries have been reported in connection to this recall.
