HanchorBio and Taiwan Cancer Moonshot Project-NTU Subteam Led by Professor Sung-Liang Yu Establish Strategic Collaboration to Advance Precision Oncology
The memorandum of understanding links HanchorBio’s FBDB platform with NTU’s multi-omics research to improve patient selection and treatment response analysis.
On Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, HanchorBio Inc. announced a strategic collaboration with the research team led by Professor Sung-Liang Yu of National Taiwan University, formalized through a signed memorandum of understanding.
The Taiwan Cancer Moonshot Program has established excellence in cancer proteogenomics and multi-omics research, particularly in Asian cancer populations, connecting these capabilities with HanchorBio's clinical-stage Fc-Based Designer Biologics platform.
"The significance of this strategic collaboration is that it brings TCMP's capabilities directly into the drug-development process," said Scott Liu, PhD, Founder and Chairman of HanchorBio, as the team aims to identify biomarkers and evaluate T-cell functional states.
Together, the parties aim to establish a translational model: PATIENT-DERIVED DISCOVERY, MOLECULAR & IMMUNE INSIGHT, BIOMARKER-GUIDED CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT, and PRECISION IMMUNOTHERAPY to improve treatment response understanding.
This effort builds upon landmark cancer biology studies published in Cell in 2020 and Cancer Cell in 2025, as HanchorBio aims to translate Taiwan-originated scientific innovation into global therapeutic development.
