Hackers published nearly 9 million customers' personal data from Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands airports after Manchester Airports Group refused to pay a ransom. The half-terabyte dataset of emails, addresses, vehicle registrations and travel history was released publicly online.
An extensive cyber attack compromised the personal data of nearly nine million people who were connected to three of the most important airports in the UK. The information was later published on the Internet after the airport operator refused to pay the ransom requested by the attackers.
The Manchester Airports Group (MAG) airport group confirmed that it suffered a cyber attack that exposed data of approximately 8.7 million passengers.
