Reports: Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Partner, Ken Urker, Dies at 34
Ken Urker, the fiancé of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, died in Louisiana on Thursday, October 1, 2026, on his 33rd birthday. The Lafourche Sheriff's Office confirmed they responded at 6:15 p.m. CDT, finding him unresponsive.
Following the 2017 HBO documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest, Urker sent Blanchard a "letter of support" while she was incarcerated, beginning their pen-pal relationship. The couple previously dated in 2018, then reunited in the spring of 2024.
After Blanchard sent a "Happy birthday" text that went unanswered, her brother Dylan discovered Urker deceased in the home. The Lafourche Sheriff's Office is investigating the death, though no cause has been revealed.
Aurora Raina Urker, the couple's 1-year-old daughter born in December 2024, is now left without her father. Blanchard became widely known for her 2015 role in her mother Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard's killing.
Blanchard finalized her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Anderson in December 2024 after marrying him in 2022 while incarcerated. She filed for divorce after less than two years of marriage, later reuniting with Urker.
