Swarms of Russian drones plunge parts of Ukraine into darkness, as Zelensky turns to Europe again
On Oct. 21, Chernihiv Oblast was struck overnight by Russian forces, leaving hundreds of thousands without power and water while repair crews could not start due to ongoing strikes.
Amid easing international pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia intensified attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and northern border regions like Chernihiv and Sumy faced repeated strikes this past month.
