GTA 6 on Switch 2? 'That's a Conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar,' Nintendo Says
- Nintendo of America President Devon Pritchard declined to confirm whether Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch on Switch 2, deferring the decision to Take-Two and Rockstar during a recent industry event.
- The Switch 2's enhanced processing power enables high-performance third-party AAA releases like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, positioning the console to compete with PlayStation and Xbox systems.
- Nintendo is prioritizing The Legend of Zelda's 40th anniversary this year, with a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launching November 5, two weeks before Grand Theft Auto 6.
- Pritchard stated, "We're just at the beginning of seeing what the Nintendo Switch 2 can do," emphasizing the console's potential to provide diverse gaming experiences beyond traditional family titles.
- Future projects including theme park tie-ins and movies will be "deliberate and thoughtful," Pritchard noted, as Nintendo balances expansion with protecting established immersive experiences.
