The environmental organization Greenpeace warns that cement and urbanism "savage" "devors" the coast of the Canary Islands, with a loss of four kilometers per year, to the point that last year the Canarian Agency for the Protection of the Natural Environment opened 1,419 files for illegal constructions and land movements, more than half (748) in Tenerife and 115 in Lanzarote (mainly in Haría and Teguise).
