Greece will deploy 18,000 firefighters to fight forest fires this year, more than in previous years, fire department officials said on Thursday. The country will also increase the number of aircraft fighting fires and drones helping to locate them. Firefighters from other European countries, including the Czech Republic, will also help. Greece is one of the European countries most affected by forest fires.
