- During pasteurizer troubleshooting with the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Saputo said the impacted pasteurizer was returned to normal and verified by state officials.
- Great Value Fat Free Small Curd Cottage Cheese, 0% Milkfat, 24-ounce, UPC 078742372358, Best By April 1–3, 2026, is recalled along with two other varieties.
- Consumers who bought the products should not eat them and should discard or return tubs to Walmart for a refund, and Saputo Cheese USA Inc. consumer hotline 1-888-587-2423 is available Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Central; no illnesses have been reported.
- Health officials warn that unpasteurized dairy poses risks for vulnerable groups, and Saputo says no other products from the facility were affected by the recall.
