‘Great big party house’ irks neighbors: Illegal short-term vacation rentals pop up in residential neighborhoods

Summary by Ground News
Neighbors say a loophole in the county vacation rental law is allowing illegal short-term rentals to flourish in what once were quiet neighborhoods. They say the county is enabling the illegal stays by encouraging the owners to list their property on Airbnb, VRBO and other rental platforms for 31 days. The County Council is also looking at the current vacation rental laws, but so far, progress has been slow.
