The opening of the first piece of the line between Massy and Saclay, scheduled for 1 October, is staggered by at least two months. The deadline is six months for line 15 south, which was scheduled for commissioning in the spring of 2027.
The opening of Line 18 is delayed by two months, while Line 15 is delayed by six months and now expected to "fall 2027", explains the Société des Grands Projets at ICI Paris Île-de-France.
These two sections are located in the south of the Paris region. The opening of the southern section of line 15 has already been postponed several times, whereas it was originally planned for 2020.
The first line of the new suburb automatic metro will open well before the end of the year. However, for the 15 South line, the most expected one will have to wait another semester.
Good and bad news for the Grand Paris Express. The Société des grandes projets (SGP) announced on Thursday 25 June the opening of line 18 between Massy-Palaiseau and Paris-Saclay for early December 2026. On the other hand, the 15-Sud line will be further delayed by six months, postponed to the autumn of 2027.
