Grafted Okanzakura Cherry Blossoms Bloom in Motobu Town, Okinawa Peace Memorial Cemetery Park

[Motobu] The Okanzakura (large winter cherry trees) planted in the Okinawa Peace Memorial Cemetery Park in Namizato, Motobu Town, are now in full bloom. Nakamine Futo (33) of Nakamine Landscape Gardening, which manages the plantings, explained, "Okanzakura is a hybrid of Oshimazakura and Kanhizakura, and it starts to flower around the time the Kanhizakura loses its leaves."
