The Slovenian government is changing the calculation of the regulated price of gasoline and diesel to cushion the impact of rising oil prices on the world market. From September 22, the cost of the biofuel component will not be taken into account as a separate item in pricing, MTI reported.
The government is removing the biocomponent surcharge from the model for calculating the maximum permitted prices of motor fuels.
In order to reduce retail prices of petroleum products, the government has deleted provisions regarding biocomponents when calculating the model price for 95-octane gasoline and diesel fuel. It has also extended the exemption from paying the energy efficiency contribution for gasoline, diesel and heating oil until December 15.
