In April, Nuno Melo said that the government was giving "wide passes" to install in Beja a fbrica of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer to produce these military aircraft.
The Government has today recognised the national public interest in the installation in Portugal of a final assembly line of military aircraft A-29N Super Tucano, providing, under certain conditions, its location at Beja Air Base.
