Authorities of the European Union have sent a letter calling for Brazilian protocols in the sector
Barely a few months ago, the ink had dried on a trade agreement between the EU and the grouping of South American countries, known as Mercosur, when farmers there sobered up. In May, the EU removed Brazil from the list of countries that comply with EU rules against the misuse of antibiotics in livestock farming, and in September it banned the import of animal commodities, which in the Czech Republic mainly concerns poultry and beef.
