Government asks for activation of the derogation clause to invest in defense

Executive asks Brussels to increase military spending not counting the deficit.

The Government will ask Brussels to activate the clause that allows an exception to compliance with budgetary rules. The objective is that the increase in defense spending does not count towards the deficit.
