The obligation to hold at least one debate in the public media in the electoral campaign is closer to seeing the light. The Council of Ministers plans to approve definitively this Tuesday the reform of the Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), a change that also imposes on the polling companies the publication of all microdata of the poll.
The Council of Ministers approved, on the proposal of the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, the draft reform of Organic Law 5/1985, of 19 June, of the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), which obliges the public media to hold electoral debates and candidates to attend them, and requires that surveys and polls disseminated during electoral campaigns also publish microdata files.
