Gov. Hobbs asks feds to reimburse nearly $760 million spent on border security

ARIZONA, JUL 31 – Arizona seeks federal reimbursement for nearly $760 million spent on border security since 2021, mainly funding law enforcement and port personnel, amid increased border activity.

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs has sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, asking the federal government to help reimburse over $700 million in border-related expenses the state has accumulated since January 2021
