Google Photos is coming to your Samsung TV next year

  • On December 29, 2025, Samsung Electronics announced it will bring Google Photos natively to Samsung TVs and Smart Monitors, letting users view photos and videos in a cinematic, full-screen format from the couch.
  • Samsung described the move as designed to give families a cinematic, seamless method to rediscover and share personal memories on the big screen, blending Google Photos with Samsung's Vision AI Companion so Memories surface on Daily+ and Daily Board.
  • At launch, the integration will show Memories, which Samsung said will be exclusive for six months; later features include Create with AI using Nano Banana plus Remix and Photo‑to‑Video in late 2026.
  • Rollout will start with Samsung's 2026 TV lineup early next year, and in-market older Samsung TV models will get updates starting March 2026; users must sign in with a Google Account and enable Memories.
  • Ahead of CES 2026, Samsung's move positions Samsung TVs as emotional memory hubs, marking Google Photos' first full native TV app and introducing Gemini Nano Banana creativity on the big screen.
