On Friday, June 12, 2026, North Shore Animal League America hosted its annual Rescue Gala at New York City's iconic Plaza Hotel, drawing animal lovers from across the region.
As the world's largest no-kill rescue organization, the group has saved the lives of more than 1.2 million dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens at risk of euthanasia through comprehensive programs.
Event Chairperson Beth Stern and Host Will Ganss joined other "bold face names" on the blue carpet, while Jeff Schick received the Mutt-i-grees Crystal Collar Award for his long-term commitment.
Coney Island's Abraham Lincoln High School received the Mutt-i-grees Crystal Collar Award for its decade-long embrace of the curriculum, while singer Joshua Radin performed "Tomorrow's Gonna Be Better."
Proceeds from the gala support North Shore Animal League America's mission to Rescue, Nurture, Adopt, and Educate, with organizers inviting public donations to continue life-saving work.
