PGA Tour 'Not Contemplating' Allowing More LIV Returns
Commissioner Brian Rolapp said accountability and discipline remain guiding principles as LIV Golf’s bankruptcy leaves several top players’ futures uncertain.
On Tuesday, Commissioner Brian Rolapp said the PGA Tour is not considering a returning-member program that would allow LIV Golf players to rejoin the U.S.-based circuit.
Following LIV Golf's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in New Jersey last week, Rolapp emphasized that accountability and discipline remain guiding principles for the Tour.
Five-Times major champion Brooks Koepka rejoined the PGA Tour in January, forfeiting an estimated $50-85 million in potential Player Equity Program equity for the move.
Bankruptcy filings identify major champions Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau as top unsecured creditors, with each owed more than $5 million by the circuit.
The Public Investment Fund will cut funding at the close of 2026, as the circuit aims to exit bankruptcy by early 2027 while the Tour prepares its two-tiered system for 2028 launch.
