Golden Pet Brands Acquires Petsource Facility in Seward, Nebraska
The 170,000-square-foot plant will make pet food and treats exclusively for Golden Pet Brands as about 100 employees join the company.
- Golden Pet Brands completed the acquisition of the Petsource production facility in Seward on May 8, 2026. The facility continues production operations uninterrupted following the close of the transaction.
- Operating across the United States, Golden Pet Brands maintains two manufacturing facilities, including a BRC rated facility in Wisconsin, and employs more than 500 people. The company portfolio includes Marty Pets, Badlands Ranch, and Ultimate Pet Nutrition.
- Registered with the Drug Administration, the 170,000-square-foot Seward site, built in 2019 and expanded through 2022, holds SQF certification. The facility will produce pet food and treats exclusively for Golden Pet Brands portfolio brands.
- Approximately 100 Petsource employees are joining the Golden Pet Brands family. VP of Manufacturing Lucas Koele said the company met with city officials and "couldn't be more pleased with the warm reception" in Seward.
- Recognized by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Wisconsin manufacturing operation with over 400 employees was recently named a 2026 Top Workplace and earned the Best Managers award. CEO Apu Mody said, "We are pleased to welcome the Petsource team to Golden Pet Brands.
