Gold Slips Below Rs 1.55 Lakh/10 Gm on MCX, but Global Prices Extend Gains. What’s Next?

MCX gold and silver futures fell as crude oil prices rose, while the gold October contract briefly touched Rs 1,54,925 per 10 grams.

Gold prices slipped on the MCX but extended gains in international markets on Tuesday as expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate hike eased. Gold futures for October delivery fell 0.6% to Rs 1,54,995 per 10 grams, while December and February contracts declined over 0.5% and 0.7%, respectively. Investors now await the Feds latest meeting minutes for policy cues.
