Ukraine has stopped exports of iron due to the blockade of Black Sea ports, reports the Ukrainian analytical consulting company GMK Center.
Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises completely ceased the export of commercial iron in August, as reported by the GMK Center, which refers to data from the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
Ukraine's metallurgical industries reduced commodity iron exports by 16.4% from the same period in 2025 to 1.03 million tons in January–August 2026. In August, due to the blockade on ports, the iron was not exported at all.
