Girl and two boys arrested on suspicion of murdering teenager - as victim named
Police are seeking witnesses and CCTV footage as the 17-year-old victim receives specialist support, and the investigation remains ongoing.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, a 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on Glycena Road in Battersea, prompting the Metropolitan Police to launch a murder investigation with visible police presence at the scene.
This incident follows the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Jamal Ringrose on May 30 in Dudden Hill Lane, Dollis Hill, for which police have already charged a suspect in connection with that earlier case.
Investigators specifically seek dashcam or mobile footage using incident reference CAD 1567/20JUN26, with Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie urging anyone near Lavender Hill between 4am and 5am to come forward with information.
Enhanced stop-and-search powers were implemented by Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams to deter criminality, while officers arrested eight people on suspicion of rioting, affray, and possession of offensive weapons.
Police urge the public to provide information as the investigation continues. Detective Inspector Simon Ager confirmed the team continues to "work at pace to pursue several lines of inquiry" following Jamal's tragic death.
