On November 18, 1820, that is 205 years ago, Loja proclaimed his independence, this in tune with that unstoppable libertarian current that toured the territories of what was known as the Real Audiencia de Quito and that, later, would be confirmed, definitively, with the memorable battle of Pichincha in 1822, putting an end to Spanish colonial rule.
