Gdynia Maritime University's sailing school ship, the Dar Młodzieży, returned to its home port on Wednesday after a nearly six-month voyage. The primary purpose of the voyage was to participate in the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of US independence and to provide students with maritime internships.
After more than five months of sailing, two crossings across the Atlantic and thousands of nautical miles traveled, the legendary sailing ship “Dar Młodzień” returns to Gdynia. The Polish frigate represented the country during the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, taking part in the great parade of sailing ships on the Hudson River in New York.
