Visitors to the Ostrava Zoo have a unique opportunity to see rare baby emperor scorpions, one of the largest scorpion species in the world. The female carries them on her back in the Evolution Pavilion, where people can also try out a special UV lamp under which these giant arachnids glow blue-green. However, the babies will only stay in the exhibit for about two to three weeks before they are moved to the back.
