The German forests continue to suffer. The state of the treetops has hardly changed on a nationwide average, the Federal Ministry of Economics explained at the presentation of the new forest status report.

It is not good for Germany's forests - heat, drought and pests have greatly increased in recent years.
In Germany, only one in five trees is healthy. This is shown by the current forest status report, which was presented on Tuesday. In Saxony and Thuringia, the forest was able to recover a bit.
The current forest status report shows that our most important ecosystem is at the limit. It now needs a radical rethink – towards climate-resilient forests. One thing is clear: nature does not negotiate.
