The Federal Police sent four Afghan nationals, who were checked in a coach in Trier, back to Luxembourg. They had already applied for asylum in Greece and were not among the protected groups. The measure is part of the intensified border policy under the new Interior Minister Dobrindt.

As part of the strengthening of border controls, the first deportations of asylum-seekers to Luxembourg took place, four Afghan nationals who arrived from Luxembourg, the spokesman of the Federal Police of Trier, Stefan Döhn. Both women and men had already applied for asylum in Greece.
