Berlin: Ines Schwertner, leader of Germany's Left Party, called on her supporters in Berlin to defend Jewish lives as much as they defend the Palestinian cause. During the party conference in the Lichtenberg district of Berlin on Saturday, Schwertner said: "The repression against movements in solidarity with Palestine must end. Jewish life in this city must be safe again. Our humanity does not stop at this."
