Former President George W. Bush Reflecting on 25th Anniversary of 9/11 at Bush Center Event Tonight
The sold-out program will feature Bush and Condoleezza Rice, with organizers saying it will be Bush’s only public remarks on the anniversary.
- On Wednesday, Former President George Bush and Secretary Rice host an event at the Bush Center in Dallas to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
- Bush, who was president during the attacks, is joined by Rice, who served as National Security Advisor at the time, to reflect on how the tragedy shaped the United States and the call to Service.
- General Dan Caine and Deputy National Security Advisor Crouch join veterans including Jared Lyon and Melissa Stockwell, whose contributions "embody the resilience, courage, and unity that emerged from the tragedy," the center said.
- Titled "A Legacy of Service: America at the 25th Anniversary of 9/11," the event marks the former president's only public remarks this year, intended to examine the enduring impact of the attacks.
- Following tonight's event, Bush and First Lady Laura Bush plan to attend the ceremony at Ground Zero in New York City on 9/11 to honor the lives lost 25 years ago.
