GM workers ratify new deal with automaker

Unifor says the 4,600 autoworkers in Ontario have voted overwhelmingly in favour of ratifying their new deal with General Motors. The two sides agreed to a tentative deal August 22 and union members voted on the agreement over the weekend. Details of the agreement were released Sunday and include wage increases for full-rate production members to $50.20 an hour and skilled trades workers to $62.71 an hour and plans to mitigate layoffs at Oshawa …
