The energy transition has also reached its limits at Efteling. The electric steam train, which the park introduced last year as a sustainable alternative, is now running again with the help of a diesel engine. The locomotive "Aagje," intended as an example of emission-free transport, has proven in practice to be unable to operate entirely without emissions.
