What began as plans for a public reading of the Declaration of Independence has grown into this community’s participation in a statewide effort to commemorate the nation's 250th anniversary. The Greenville City Council unanimously approved a resolution Tuesday supporting the formation of a local America250 committee and appointing Flat River Historical Society board member Judy Gager as liaison to the state organization.
