Garrett Wilson's frustrations with Geno Smith caught on camera during Jets' loss to lowly Dolphins
Wilson said the sideline dispute was about getting him the ball in key moments after he finished with 2 catches for 26 yards.
On Sunday, New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson appeared to erupt at quarterback Geno Smith during the fourth quarter of the team's 28-25 loss to the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium.
Limited to just two receptions for 26 yards, Wilson was visibly frustrated by his dwindling role in the offense, having been targeted only three times throughout the game.
Addressing the sideline exchange, Wilson told reporters they were "collaborating" on a resolution rather than arguing, while Smith noted, "He might have been yelling, but I don't think he was yelling at me."
Head coach Aaron Glenn accepted responsibility for the offensive struggles, stating, "A player of his magnitude, we have to do everything we can to try to get him the ball."
The 2-5 Jets face increasing pressure regarding Glenn's job security as they prepare to bounce back against the Las Vegas Raiders next week.
